Manager Demand
Forecasting. The
Electrical Products
Operating Unit located
Tipp City, Ohio (North
of Dayton)is a growing
and dynamic producer and
distributor of Electric
Motors to a large
variety of
consumer,commercial and
industrial
applications. Total
Sales Revenue of over
$900 million is
distributed to a global
customer base. The
company employs 12,000
people at facilities in
the US, Mexico, Europe
and China.
Responsibilities: This
highly visible and newly
created key position
provides direction and
vision in the Sales,
Inventory and Operation
Planning process.
The Manager Demand
Forecasting/Planning
will serve as the key
liaison between Sales,
Marketing,
Manufacturing, Finance,
Materials and Customer
Order Service to better
translate external data,
sales activity,
inventory levels and
production output into a
viable forecast that
drive inventory and
service levels which
meet business strategic
initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish and
maintain a demand
forecasting process
based on assessments of
historical trends,
capacity, inventory
costs, lead times and
material plans with an
objective to increase
Inventory Turns, improve
Service Levels and lower
operation costs.
- Facilitate and lead
S&OP process across
functional lines to
obtain complete buy-in
from all stakeholders.
- Consistently deliver
forecast accuracy that
drive inventory levels
that meet or exceed
targeted thresholds for
regular business, new
product launches or
seasonal impacts.
- Establish performance
metrics for the Demand
Forecasting process
which will aid in the
continuous improvement
of the function.
- Monitors slow moving
and obsolete inventory
and drives cross
functional corrective
action.
- Evaluate the relevancy
of key business
intelligence and
dissemination to Senior
Management.
- Utilize external
sources to collect
viable data in the
development and revision
of forecasts.
Qualifications
The successful and
dynamic candidate will
possess the following
experience, skills and
education:
- Bachelor Degree in
Business Administration,
Marketing, Supply Chain
or related Technical
field required with an
MBA preferred.
- 10 years progressive
Demand
Forecasting/Planning,
Materials Planning or
related Supply Chain
experience in an
industrial manufacturing
environment.
- Strong leadership
skills with a team
oriented and consensus
based management style.
- Proven ability in the
use of interpersonal
skill sets, consensus
management, matrix
organizations, meeting
leadership techniques.
- Ability to multi task
as well as work under
pressure in a constantly
changing environment.
- Strong analytical
skills with ability to
analyze raw data, draw
conclusions and develop
and execute actionable
commercial and strategic
recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and
written communications
skills
- Excellent Microsoft
Office skills along with
direct experience with
ERP (QAD Mfg Pro)
software application.
Skills
- Knowledge of QAD -
Manufacturing Pro ERP
software
- Proven results in the
development of Demand
Forecasting Process
required.
- Strong Change
Management skills and
collaboration skills.
