Reporting to the Global Process Owner- Integrated Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a standard global process in demand, supply and network planning.  It is critical that the incumbent have an understanding of best practices in demand & supply planning in business to business SAP environment. The incumbent must have a bias towards continuous improvement an ability to understand process as well as possess strong leadership and influencing skills. Most critical is the ability to develop with IBM a clear and communicable vision of how this critical area should operate in a new more effective and efficient world.

Position Requirements include but are not limited to:

Conduct business requirements workshops to identify and document business requirements for:

  • Supply network planning master data (locations, products, resources, BOM's and recipes, transportation lanes)
  • Planning methods and strategies.
  • Capacity planning / leveling
  • Setup and changeovers.
  • Safety stock settings and strategies
  • Interactive planning and simulation
  • Integration with demand and production planning, deployment planning, network planning, manufacturing execution, inventory/warehouse management and procurement
  • Material requirement planning
  • Alert monitoring
  • Mapping planning organization to demand planning master data (regions, divisions, brands, products and customers)
  • Forecasting models, parameters and characteristics
  • Statistical forecast process
  • Integration with sales and marketing, financial and production planning
  • Sales and operations planning

Provide strategic direction to plan to schedule team as they design and document data, business processes and reporting for supply network planning to include:

  • Parameters/characteristics for master data (locations, products, resources, BOM's and recipes, transportation lanes)
  • Process flow diagrams for network planning, safety stock planning, simulation, capacity planning, transfer of supply plan to production.
  • Parameters/characteristics for master data (products, product families, regions, customers)
  • Process flow diagrams for statistical forecasting, S&OP, integration with financial and sales planning
  • Integration with legacy systems
  • KPI and reporting required to support newly designed supply network planning processes
  • Review and test configured SAP system solution for demand planning
  • Define roles and system security access for demand and supply planning organization
  • Contribute to the content of training materials
  • Deliver train-the-trainer courses
  • Ability to identify and articulate the level of business transformation and value captured as a result of moving to One McCain solution
  • Participate in change impact assessment
  • Contribute to Go Live cut over planning and execution
  • Relocation is not required but significant travel will be

Key knowledge and skills required to be successful in this role include:

  • Understand and articulate company's global planning strategy.
  • Knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
  • Understanding / experience with integration of network and site planning
  • Knowledge of shop-floor and warehouse integration
  • Knowledge of major products, production resources and constraints
