Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of related experience as a demand planner, buyer, MRP controller, or master scheduler in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus
  • 8-10 years of related experience as a demand planner, buyer, MRP controller, or master scheduler in a manufacturing environment.

Skills required/expected:

  • Knowledge of master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Access, Vizio, SAP, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of ERP statistical software packages
  • Knowledge and experience in managing end of life cycle and obsolete inventory.
  • Knowledge of demand planning processes

Responsible for managing and leading the monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) process; running weekly meetings to review metrics including service level to locations; reviewing analyzing, and identifying possible recommendations for slow moving product and SKU rationalization; preparing, reporting, and communicating monthly metrics to measure forecast accuracy; making recommended adjustments to forecasts based on latest demand and market trends; pro-actively working with sales, marketing, and manufacturing/operations to review forecasts, promotions and implications to the monthly supply planning process.
