located
in
Connecticut,
is
seeking
an
experienced
DEMAND
PLANNER
to join
their
top
notch
organization.
This
position
offers
an

Manage
the
operational
forecasting
process
for the
(Business
Unit)
which
drives
all
Supply
Chain
planning
activities.
Create
and
manage
the
Manugistics
statistical
forecast
which
becomes
the
baseline
forecast
driving
the
Demand
Planning
process.
Lead the
Pre-S&OP
Volume
Consensus
Review
with
Demand
Management
Team.
Gather
and
incorporate
all
sources
of
market
intelligence,
resulting
from
collaborative
discussions
with
multiple
functional
groups,
to
produce
the best
possible
operational
final
or net
forecast.
Communicate
Demand
Chain
forecast
plans
and the
rationale
behind
them, to
the
Supply
Chain.
Responsibilities
-
Manage
Manugistics
statistical
forecast
models
on a weekly
basis.
Resolve
model
exceptions
in a
timely
manner
to
ensure
solid
baseline
intelligence
from a
supply
chain
perspective;
-
Work
closely
with
Supply
Planners
to
identify
and
resolve
exceptional
changes
in the
forecast
and
anticipate
their
needs to
communicate
changes
in the
forecast
across
the
Supply
Chain;
-
Assure
that all
agreements
from
consensus
meetings
are
incorporated
in the
net
forecast;
-
Participate
in
multiple
monthly
forecast
consensus
meetings
as part
of the
S&OP
process
cycle;
-
Update
and
monitor
process
KPIs and
diagnostics
to
assure
continual
improvement
efforts.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's
degree
is
required;
-
Two
to five
years
experience
within
the
Supply
Chain
Planning
process
area
preferred;
-
APICS, CPM
certification
preferred;
-
Broad-based
understanding
of the
Business
Unit and
Sales
Team Go-To-Market
strategy
and
tactical
implementation
within
the
distributor
base;
-
A
working
knowledge
of the
Manufacturing,
Distribution
Requirements
Planning,
Inventory
Planning,
Logistics,
Customer
Service,
Procurement,
and
Marketing
processes
is
required;
-
Excellent
analytical
capabilities
and
creative
problem
solving
skills
preferred;
-
Strong
knowledge
of
time-series
and
causal
forecasting
methods
and the
understanding
of how
optimize
forecast
model
parameters;
Must
be
systems
savvy.
Software
application
experience
required.
