OVERALL ROLL:

As a key member of the Goodyear Global Operations Supply Chain team, the associate provides the leadership to achieving a Class A global process and the appropriate content for the Goodyear worldwide S&OP process. Working closely with the SBU Directors of Supply Chain and Directors of Manufacturing the role will ensure that the S&OP plan is a do-able plan and optimizes regional customer service, supply capabilities, and inventory. Responsible for the global roll up of worldwide S&OP data and metrics, the identification of issues, and the resolution of cross functional and cross SBU issues. Facilitates the monthly Global S&OP meeting with Corporate and SBU leadership

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the Director of Supply Chain Business Process Excellence and the SBU Directors leads the enhancement of the quality of the Goodyear S&OP process so that the Goodyear achieves a Class A external rating based on the Goodyear auditing checklist. The Director will participate in worldwide Class A audits and will provide the leadership to the Global Class A S&OP Process Club so that there is continuous improvements in the global S&OP process.
  • Leads the monthly Global S&OP process, including providing the leadership to the final meeting in the process with Corporate, SBU and functional leadership ensuring global information (industry, share, sales, production, supply, inventory, customer service and other metrics) is effectively reviewed, issues are identified and action plans are prepared and followed up.
  • As required, leads the resolution of cross regional S&OP issues working in conjunction with the respective SBU, functional representatives, and others as necessary.
  • Leads special S&OP related projects as defined by the Global VP Supply Chain.

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Supply Chain and Logistics, Global Operations

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, economics, finance or related fields

EDUCATION DESIRED: Master’s degree in supply chain, operations, economics, finance or related fields.

EXPERIENCE:

  • More than 10 years experience in supply chain, operations, finance, logistics, transportation, customer service, sales forecasting, demand and supply planning, inventory management and operations.
  • Multi unit experience in the supply chain, finance and logistics functions mentioned above.
  • Experienced in working in a matrix organization of geography, business and function.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

  • APICS or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency with the ability to execute on both short term and long term goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to interface with all levels of the company.
  • Demonstrated ability in effective problem solving.
  • Good understanding of sales and operations risks and the ability to work in a collaborative decision making environment
