We are currently looking for the right person to help bring the existing Demand Planning group from a strong statistical forecast organization to a best-in-class team incorporating POS data, causal information and sales insights.

If you have a strong Demand Planning / Forecasting / Consumer Insights background, enjoy working closely with sales / account management teams to come up with a monthly forecast, would like to work with recession-proof products and get excited about companies that still pride themselves on their products having the stamp of Made in America, then we’d love to hear from you ASAP.

Position Description:

  • Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, build a best-in-class Demand Planning organization that will significantly improve forecast accuracy
  • Manage 1 Demand Planning analyst
  • Develop and maintain a 12-18 month rolling forecast at the corporate level and drive the entire forecast process for a $2 billion business
  • Develop and lead the monthly demand planning consensus meetings
  • Communicate daily with field sales to fully understand how the market is changing, promotions being planned and seasonal items that will be introduced
  • Develop models to forecast new products, promotional items and seasonal items
  • Protect the financial performance of the strategic business unit by identifying potential supply chain issues
  • Participate in monthly S&OP meetings
  • Advise sales, marketing and finance of variances between existing forecasts, plans and actuals

Background Required:

  • Highly energetic individuals with 7-10 years forecasting / demand planning / consumer insights experience
  • Experience with high-volume Retail / CPG supply chains
  • Effective use of forecasting applications like SAP (APO DP), Oracle, Manugistics, i2, Logility, etc
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • APICS (CPIM / CSCP) or IBF (CPF) a plus
  • Proven track record of success in similar role.

Compensation Plan:

  • $80 - 105K + 10% bonus
  • Full benefit package including medical, dental, disability, 401(k), pension plan (yes – a pension plan!), and tuition reimbursement
  • Full relocation available
