Responsibilities:
Summary: Responsible
for the development and
implementation of the
supply chain and
logistics strategy.
Manages the demand and
supply planning
processes, inventory
objectives, customer
service objectives, and
logistics costs to
achieve the goals. This
is done by facilitating
a Class A Sales and
Operations Planning
(S&OP) Process.
Responsibilities:
1. In conjunction with
the Regional Supply
Chain and Logistics
leaders develops and
implements the
transportation and
warehousing strategy for
the region. Jointly
they will determine the
number of warehouses,
their location, and
whether managed
internally or through a
3PL such that transport
and warehousing costs
and customer services
are optimized and meet
the PBU objectives.
2. Coordinates the
global sales forecasting
process to arrive at
agreed worldwide sales
estimates for all
products.
3. Responsible for the
translation of the sales
forecasts into demand
plans to support
customer service and
inventory objectives.
4. Facilitates the
global PBU S&OP process
working cooperatively
across functions within
the PBU and across
regional functional
organizations such as
Marketing, Sales,
Manufacturing, Supply
Chain and Logistics,
etc. Has ownership of
the global S&OP process
in terms of basic
processes, systems and
development of a class A
process.
5. Responsible for the
development of the
global master production
schedule consistent with
the agreements in the
S&OP and in support of
customer service and
inventory objectives.
6. Oversees the global
PBU tradeoff of
inventory, customer
service and logistics
costs and sets up the
appropriate processes to
set objectives and
monitor performance.
7. Provides the global
PBU leadership for the
many significant
transformational changes
that must be made in the
supply chain to achieve
the Corporate objective
of an advantaged supply
chain. Among the
changes will be leading
the change to a “lean”
manufacturing and
planning environment
and integrating the PBU
“go to market” model
into the logistics and
manufacturing strategy.
8. develops the
appropriate performance
metrics to manage a
supply chain
effectively.
9. Develops high
performance team,
blending internal and
external talent.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
1. Bachelor or Masters
Degree (preferred) in
supply chain, economics,
finance or related field
2. More than 10 years
experience in logistics,
transportation
management, warehouse
management, customer
service, sales
forecasting, demand
planning, inventory
management and
operations planning.
3. Experienced in
working in a global
matrixed organization of
businesses and functions
4. Experienced in
leading supply chain
transformation projects
across organizational
boundaries in a global
company
5. APICS or equivalent
certification is a plus
6. Strong analytical
skills
7. Able to interface
with all levels of the
Company
8. Demonstrated
ability in leading a
global S&OP process
effectively
9. Practical
experience in leading a
“lean” implementation in
demand and supply
planning
