The Demand Management team is responsible for the development and implementation of a new statistical forecasting capability to support Micron’s worldwide product demand. The team also provides analytical insight and support for supply chain and demand planning initiatives. We are looking for a Forecast Manager to provide mathematical and supply chain expertise throughout the development, deployment, and sustainability of these new processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Apply expertise in mathematical modeling, forecasting, statistics, and econometrics to create and execute new statistical forecasting models while considering the impact of seasonality, product launches and retirements along with traditional sales history and customer-provided forecasts
- Responsible for the creation, management, measurement, and continual improvement of the analytic forecasting process
- Provide requirements and oversee the creation of a new statistical forecasting platform
- Provide critical input into the corporate-wide consensus demand planning process
- Create and manage the statistical forecast for some or all of Micron’s products
- Identify new opportunities to use predictive modeling and supply chain analytics to create and drive business value

QUALIFICATIONS :
- The development of product forecasts, establishing base metrics for validating forecast performance and refining analytical / statistical models to forecast future performance
- Creating and applying advanced analytical techniques to real-world challenges; ability to analyze and detect demand shifts, establish forecast accuracy metrics and decompose data into causal factors
- In-depth knowledge about forecasting processes and uses of forecast information; understanding of supply chain principles and applications
- Interfacing with Sales, Marketing, and Demand Planners to secure necessary information and assumptions to coordinate validation of monthly forecasts
- Excellent oral and written communication and influence skills
- Must be process focused, able to work collaboratively, detail oriented, and diligent about communication, influence, and follow through

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Relevant experience in Demand Planning preferred; prior experience in Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, Financial Analysis, Product Marketing or Manufacturing Planning a plus.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
MSc/MBA or Equivalent, PhD Preferred, 3-5 years or equivalent experience
