Our client is an established provider of manufacturing services to the medical device industry with a long track record of stability and growth.

Responsibilties:

• Manages staff and oversees multiple supply chain activities to include production planning, purchasing, inventory control, receiving, warehouse stock control, warehousing and distribution.
• Manages the overall control and movement of materials in and out of plant.
• Plans, directs, controls, coordinates and evaluates inventory control, stocking and forecasting for unit/organization.
• Manages inventory replenishment based on production schedules, current inventory, customer orders and forecasts to maintain defined inventory levels and return on assets.
• Ensures accurate inventory records.
• Directs and control warehouse activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished goods.
• May plan and schedule department functions to ensure the prompt delivery of supplies of kind and amount required.
• Responsible for managing supplier’s performance including supplier certification, quality, cost and delivery.
• Manages coordination of supply plans for new product introductions and product phase-outs.
• Defines and implements appropriate inventory and purchasing policies procedures and utilizes ERP via integrated systems to enforce execution.
• Develops, implements and maintains department standards, practices, procedures and policies.
• Trains and mentors department employees.

Qualificiations:

The successful candidate will be a proven executive-level manager with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus. He or she will possess a professional demeanor that gains the respect and confidence of employees at all levels. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess:

• BS/BA or equivalent
• 6+ Years of relevant experience
• APICS, CPM or CPIM certification preferred
• Previous experience with MRP principles, inventory management and demand planning software required. System implementation experience preferred.

Skills:

• Medical device background preferred
