Responsibilities: This position exists to balance Consumer Products Group’s (CPG) supply and demand by collaborating with internal departments ranging from purchasing, forecasting, sales/marketing, and the Strategic Customer Optimization Teams (SCOT).
- Collaborate with forecasters and SCOT team leads to ensure validity of demands. Initiate changes to forecast to correct consumption and plant spread errors.
- Collaborate with Purchasing department to identify and resolve supply issues.
- Determine build ahead needs and collaborate with sales/marketing/SCOT teams to determine safe to buy items. Gain CPG leadership consensus on dollar impact to inventories.
- Collaborate with forecasting to ensure planning item forecasts accuracy.
- Collaborate with Purchasing at Hilroy (Canadian consumer & office products business) and Sidney, NY location to ensure that their demands are included in capacity analysis.
- Periodically validate that Industry Standard Description is populated for all forecasted items.
- Monitor forecast changes weekly. Communicate reductions to Purchasing for possible cancellation of purchase orders. Collaborate with Purchasing on major changes that could impact the supply strategy.
- Assist the excess/obsolescence team in identifying rework solutions.
- Identify SKU shortages and initiate allocation, if needed.
- Understand customer requirements and apply to capacity planning and build logic
- Balance customer service goals and inventory management goals
Qualifications: - Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with various functional areas.
- Must project a positive attitude and be able to work within a team environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with advanced MS Excel (or equivalent) functions.
